DRAENEN DDU

Angharad Tomos’ translation of Blackthorn by Charley Miles

WHAT YOU THINK’S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PLANT ON THE SURFACE – IT’S ALL FROM THE SAME ROOTS

The only two children born in the village for a generation cannot imagine ever being apart, but as their lives shift, so too do the ties that bind them.

The countryside is changing and traditions and age-old place names are under threat. A highly relevant piece for today’s community audiences.

Touring Welsh communities between May 5 – 30, 2020.

FIENNA

by Siôn Eirian

Following the unmitigated successes of Garw (2015) and Yfory (2017) the award-winning playwright Siôn Eirian has been commissioned to write the third in his series of plays for Bara Caws.  This play will consist of three parts — a triptych — and the themes are race, boundaries, and how people and countries protect and force their identity on others. How has, and does, Central Europe deal with ‘Other-ness’?

Performances: Tregaron National Eisteddfod 3 – 8 August and touring 8 – 26 September, 2020
